It was bent and spaced down from the top 2 bolt mounting points so that the clutch pedal wouldnt hit the wiring harness block (mounted up top). The cable for the clutch is also totally hacked up and damaged so I'm going to replace it. I got a set of 92 Legacy 5mt pedals but the whole box is shorter overall than the one in the car, so i cant use it. also the "custom" transmission crossmember is interesting to say the least. theres all kinds of plates and brackets welded to the underbody of the car

I basically have everything figured out, but heres where I hit a roadblock: If i try to mount the pedal box "properly" (flush with all the mounting points like it should be), the clutch pedal cable hook "arm" hits the wiring harness. Is there a solution for this? I'm really frustrated and what was supposed to turn into a weekend clutch job has become a week of headaches and trips to the junkyards

If the previous set-up was working, I'd have left it in, but my fix for the clutch arm hitting is I make a new hook for the cable that mounts down at a different angle, I have a simple CAD drawing of the fix, but it's at work, I'll try to post it later today....
