If you decide to swap anyway, may I suggest sticking to 6 cylinders. I think that the flat 6 is a core characteristic of what makes an SVX. I have several Subies also; a stock Legacy, 2.5NA engine, a lightly modified STi, 2.5T engine, and an SVX. One of the main things that appeals to me about the SVX as compared to the others is that fabulous six cylinder sound and feel.
