I disagree with the check method above. It doesn't work on the SVX. Jack the front body of the svx up so both the front wheels are off the ground, this takes the sway bar out of the problem. Then use a pry bar between the lower A arm and steering knuckle. If it is bad you will be able to separate the lower arm and knuckle. If a JAck is used under the lower ArM you Will NOT see JACk. The lower arm has big rubber bushings that continually push the lower A arm up into the steeering knuckle. This is obvious when you take the lower ball joint apart and have to push like the the the Mi$$Le Eas%#$& trying to cum, to get these two parts apart.
