Black book or MAA for the car would be around 1900 or so based on mileage and average condition. Granted those are wholesale prices but I doubt I'd pay more than $2500-3k for the car. I could find 10 newer legacies that come with a dealer contract warranty for less than 4.9k in 15 minutes. Oh and the 3k was assuming that the clutch was functioning like it should, if not I'd drop another 1000 just because of the inconvinence. Granted I'm cheap but, maybe you need to go auto shopping with me
