Also, is there anything on the market that's TAPI compliant. Having to turn off RingCentral every time I start AOL is a pain in the butt. The family either forgets to turn it off and we end up getting blue screened, or, they forget to turn it on after getting online, and we have no answering machine. Grrr.

Randy, I have some software floating around with really good answering machine capabilities. I think it is called "BitWare". It is like a professional electronic phone service that came with a couple of modems from back in my modem days. I played with it for a bit at the time and it seemed really robust.
