Going fast is more about conservation of momentum, than acceleration.

I love my SVX, and I'll be saving for a 5spd swap. The engine is still VERY strong, and the rest of the car is very solid as well. I could use struts, but they're not gone yet. For a 12 yr old car with nearly 1/4million miles it's amazing.

That's my nice way of saying "they'll pry my SVX from my cold, dead fingers". A fair amount of searching has yielded many inexpensive ways to fix things. For what I've got in it, I can afford one tranny, and some other fixes, I've already done. I just can't be replacing big stuff regularly.
