The gearbox after the rebuild was amazing, with slick gear changes and no slippage - especially in manual mode.

Since then i have had the tcu rom upgrade and the "other" black box fitted that i sell as a kit (pcb supplied, other components bought by owners and fitted by them).

The engine now revs much quicker to red line due to remapping of rom, and the take off from a standing start is quicker than the audi tt 1800 turbo that my partner has......these changes together with the uprated suspension means the car is a different beast - and i don't want to change it to a manual gearbox.
