What makes Amelia so interesting is that its not just the vintage stuff you never see, but its also the racy stuff you never see. The line up of Trans Am cars was thrilling. Hearing and watching those open headered muscle cars march onto the field was quite intertaining. And then you run into a 540 ssk meredes or 14 Thomas Flyers or a Figoni and Falaschi custom coupe or some wonderful duesenburgs.

I really enjoy the fact that you get to see Parnelli Jones's King Cobra or his Pikes Peak car or the 61 Ferrari 250 Sperimental and a 65 Ferrari GTO.

I was able to sneak into the show early in an all original 66 427 Cobra. That was a thrill. Especially when it overheated waiting in line!
