Sorry to hear about your SVX knocking. Maybe it wants to come inside.
HaHa. Did you tighten up the PS belt? Maybe its the idle pulley knocking or yanking on the crank shaft. Let me know. I have replaced both the idler pulleys cause 183,000 miles is way over the limit for them.
