Tranny has been an issue with the car. If the tranny was replaced by subaru, you can find that out through Subaru at 1800SUBARU3. Also you migh want to check all the breaks and what not -- altough they are not that expensive compare to the rest. Also check the tire pressure when you take it out for a ride. They can hide the joint problems and shock problems with lower than normal tire pressure. I might have missed a couple of things but that's about it.
