Speed sensor(#2) Q's

I am attempting to test my speed sensor for the correct signal but am unsure of what the readings are supposed to be.
After a search I found that the reading on the y/r signal wire should be between 0v and 5v while slowly turning a front tire.
However, the k-sensor range chart states:
ECU Connector
Application Pin No. Wire Color
Justy Carbureted .......... 6 (22-Pin) ................ LT GRN/BLK
Justy PFI .... ............. 4 (22-Pin) ................ LT GRN/BLK
Legacy .................... 11 (12-Pin) .................. GRN/BLK
Loyale .................... 22 (24-Pin) .................. YEL/GRN
SVX ....................... 11 (12-Pin) .................. YEL/RED
(1) - Turn ignition on. Connect voltmeter between indicated terminal
and ground. Slowly rotate drive wheels. Voltage should fluctuate
between zero and about 5 volts (Legacy) or
2 volts (except Legacy).

So I should expect the voltage to be between 0-2 and not 0-5?

Also, are there supposed to be any wires that splice into the speed sensor signal before it gets to the ecu? I have 2 wires that splice into my speed sensor signal about 4" from the sensor connector. I am unsure what they are for, don't think they belong, and they could be messing up the voltage.
