and since there is no language specifically addressing ECU mods, then it's not allowed Given all the other mods to the engine that are allowed, this doesn't make a whole lot of sense...

It should make perfect sense. Street Mod= Ricer, Prepared= Racer techonlogy from the get go (sure its kinda dinosaur like in its thinking BUT there isn't any way to do the same to a dinosaur engine like an MG, Corvair, etc. as there isn't a ecu to tune. Granted you can adjust the carb to richer or leaner or replace it entirely BUT you can also do the same in Prepared.

Oh no that isn't the language I'm refering too it is the comparable modification language.

I never said it makes sense by the way but that's how it has been dealt with in the past. Remember the old Triumph and MG mentality still lives strong in the SCCA.
