Maybe I shouldn't answer since I don't know about their ATF additive, but their motor oil product is basically 10W-30 with finely ground teflon added. Expect their ATF is the same.
What could happen? The solid particles could clog filters for one. Did you know they all use the term PTFE because Dupont said they would sue any oil additive company that claimed to use the word Teflon (although PTFE is teflon by its generic name). The solids in the oil tend to accumulate at inlets and act as a dam, which simply blocks the oil from entering. Instead of helping, it is actually depriving parts of lubricant."
With CAFE ratings serious business for manufacturers dontcha think at least ONE company would come on board for a product that would only cost them pennies? How about Redline or Amsoil if you think the car companies can't be trusted? There are some things that work to prolong life, i.e., cryogenics, some baked on coatings, etc., but that's usually not economically feasible for a production line. A bit of teflon would be, IF it worked. For those who are enough of a conspiracy freak to think all of them are in on this, then you can safely ignore this message (I work for uncle sam so I couldn't be trusted either).
