Yeah, yeah, I know, I know. Safety first and all that.
There's a fusable link in the charging cable. I had the stereo cranked when I was working and I didn't finish putting the alternator back together for several days. I'm a repeat offender, but I'm very proficient at getting away with it. In the worst case scenario, wrenches are replaceable and burns heal. Anybody who steps near the ignition switch while I'm working gets a swift and severe beating - which is actually kind of a perk the way I see it.
