Thanks for the input and suggestions. I started with replacing the fuel filter and the car started right up (sort of as usual) and ran. So I ruled out anything on the pump side. I let it idle a while then it shut down. Here's the root cause...it was a bad battery. I've never had a battery situation where it would start the car, then run, and then basically just drop down on the voltage enough that the car just quits. I will check the alternator as my next step in the process. Thanks for the help.
