could anyone give me some information on testing procedure for these things? my car use to get about a 21city and 27 highway... now, i do mostly highway driving, and i'm getting 18 or so. Basically if we could create a checklist of things to do that effect gasmileage that would be awesome.

(also, i've got a CEL for a knock sensor, that i'm frankly not to inclined to change right now... does the ECU go into a "safe" mode when the knock sensor is known to be faulty? I'm thinking it might, however mileage hasn't really changed all that much since i've gotten that code.
