. I've always contended that the SVX is a canvass, just like anything else. Owners swap wheels, exhausts, cams, transmissions, etc., and on and on, so what’s the difference here? Not much.
You have done many swaps. You have the resources, talent, and experience to pull this off. I have a few SVXes, most of which were broken and ready for the bone-yard. I am the original owner of a ’92 SVX. I would do this swap in a second on one of the cars if I had the time, knowledge, experience and money. Engine swaps are the American way, the basis of the Hot Rod era. Today we have ‘tuner’ cars. Stock is beautiful, but at times boring. Your swap is a Subaru into a Subaru, and in my book, that is always okay
