We got them both out, and the new ones in with what seemed to be no problems at all. We were using the directions from the "How to" section of this site. Well, when we were going on the test drive, the car was barely moving, and it was almost like the tranny was slipping bad. Well we quickly took it back, and took them off again. Well, it seems that somewhere in the outer boot, it got disconnected. Do they just disconnect? Or is it really broken? We even took off one of the outer boots, and noticed that we could pull the inner shaft out from the part that goes into the hub to turn the wheel. What do you think could have gone wrong?

I should never work on my cars, because something always goes wrong.

Any insight on this would be very helpfull.
