Stock ECU is setup for it on that car. You can do that right now to your SVX if you have engine management capible of dealing with it.
Just note MAF's are non-linear in thier response to airflow so 1/2 the air going through the MAF isn't going to be 1/2 the signal. Course just be prepared to have a hell of time tuning it right since I'm betting its not going to be happy with idle airflow measurements only seeing 1/2 the air.
