As for a convertible SVX... nice idea... impractical. To bring your dreams crashing to Earth; the structural rigidity of the SVX without a roof just isn't there. It would take an awful lot of reinforcement across the bottom of the car to make it happen and still be driveable. It would be cool for show, but I definitely wouldn't want to try to drive it!
Sorry to be the bummer there, mate... but hey, even dreams need to be tempered by reality a little. Now... where did I put my sawzall?
