I don't think the SVX is going to do very well on Golden Spike Trail. My heat shields took a beating just getting out to Horseshoe and Bell canyon where I went on some memorable hikes.

Moab sure has changed over the years. The first time I went there, I ended up staying for a week. The town is fully prepared for us to show up in our lowriders. Watch where you park! The big dogs can back right over your hood and not even know it.

Some stuff to do:
Rent Mt. bikes and run some of the BEST trails in USA.
See petroglyphs right off the side of the road in Canyonlands.
Ride the ski-lift thing up to the top of Moab rim trail. walk to more petroglyphs.
Take a river raft cruise on the Colorado. (I've never done it)
Hike/backpack/camp
Arches National Park. See rocks in shapes that makes even athiests think. Amazing. I spent 2 whole days in Arches my first time there.
Rent a Jeep and beat it up on the trails.
Watch people break their sh!t on dump bump and potato salad hill.

Most of the roads around Moab are unpaved so there isn't a bunch of fun roads to go SVX on, but the "shortcut" from 70 to moab along the Colorado offers some twists that are tough because you are so busy taking in the scenery. Arches would provide tons of group fun and group photo ops.

i've never been. sounds fun. count me in if it happens.
