Post Tranny Rebuild Problems
I hope you can steer me in the right direction.
After a year of owning the '92 SVX with 74K miles and no problems I suddenly lost reverse gear with no prewarning. All forward gears worked great. Took it to an indepentently owned transmission shop (35 years in business, AAA approved). Long story short I ended up getting it rebuilt, their recommending to do so since the tranny had to be removed and opened up.
Now, when I turn hard right or left, such as pulling into the driveway, there is a vibration or shudder when I accelerate Was not there before. Is this tranny related or power steering?
The rebuild was Master Kit (heavier duty clutches) $347, Filter $17, Reverse Dished Plate $54, Rebuilt VB Sub R4AXEL $260, Fluid and Lube Garde Red $58, Labor to remove and replace tranny $400, and Labor to rebuild $730. Total without tax $1,949.
