I have to agree. In terms of AWD/4WD I've driven several Jeep Cherokees, '00 Subaru Legacy GT (5MT and rear LSD), '05 STi in snow/ice. Both Subies with winter tires on them. The SVX with all seasons felt stabler, easier to handle, and more confident on snow covered roads than any of them. The Jeeps were better for going through fields
and the STi is the clear choice for asshattery
But for guaranteeing that you get there and back, the SVX would be the winner.
