Went to Ilwaco via Longview and Route 4: don't know how I managed to miss the turn for Route 8 but I did... Looking at the map I will have to take the 108 by-pass next time through there.
Route 4 was so cool, too: I'd always gone down the Oregon side before, either 26 through Seaside or 30 to Astoria.
590 total miles @ just over 28 mpg for the entire trip. Not too bad for regular gas, eh? Got back to civilization (under $3 per gallon) near Shelton.
