It's best to just get a re-built axle, they're only around $60 and then both the inner and outer boot will be new.....plus it's just a lot easier to just stick in a new axle......Just did one on my mom's Outback sport....took an hour (would've been less, but I broke my breaker bar trying to get the axle nut off
)
