try to use the search button when you can...

I've looked into this issue quite a bit.. from what i understand, there aren't any (that i've found) high amp rectifiers for our alts... Heres all the options i've found so far..

Stock alts are ~95 amps
Remans range from 80-95 amps from your auto supply store check local pricing
You can have a local alt shop rebuild your own, for slightly less than getting a reman. (they can sometimes get a little more current out of it.. i'd check into this option)
you can rebuild it yourself with a little technical Know-how (really not that hard.. search for beavs "christmas tree dashboard light cure <55$" thread.. i'm personally doing this option)
i was quoted 700$ for 160 amp alt from H/O aftermarket company... which is rediculous.

i may have the parts that you'd need up for sale, because in the process of rebuilding my own, i think that one of the bearings is dragging much more than it should... I haven't decided whether i'm going to try it, or sell the parts.. the process is realy very simple.. i just don't want to rebuild it and have the bearing fail on me.
