My mechanic started out with an alternator/radiator rebuild shop, and now he won't do either. Says it's not worth the trouble, given the relatively low cost of remans, but I imagine he makes more money under the hood rather than at the workbench, as he can probably swap-out an ALT in way less time than it takes to rebuild one.

Got the "Christmas tree" business from my teal as I pulled into the yard yesterday. Decisions...
