Still an urban myth

Thanks for the reminder Earl. My memory is not so bad as I thought.

That poll started Dec '05 and ran into '06, last post a year ago or so.

It's a pity the poll suggested codes to vote for. It is obvious the weather was bad, and people did not go outside to check their codes, it was too cold.

We are left with two SVX's or SVX owners saying they have green mica paint. One of these is sure to be Green 1995, whose car is painted half green in error.

So that leaves one SVX ebony owner who owned up to having a green mica ebony car we can be sure of. Even this person did not check the under-hood tag and report back on the exact colour code.

The point I made about it not being POSSIBLE that Fuji released two black paints fundamentally different using the same 235 code as the poll suggests has never to this day been resolved. We have one guy, Green 1995 with a wrongly painted car, and another guy who voted he has a green mica car, but did not check the code and give us the exact digits. What's to say an earlier owner did not prang that car, and decided to paint it with a Legacy Ebony, or even a non-Subaru colour, but the factory plate still gives the original factory colour?

Until the owners of two or more factory painted green mica cars get back to the forum with a different paint code under their hoods, to me these cars remain anomalies, they are resprays.
