Have them use tape weights, if they can. They go on the inside if the rim (no ugly weights on the outside). I have had tape weights on my truck since I put the rims and tires in. It spends plenty of time in the water and mud, and I powerwash the crap out of the truck (including the inside of the rim) when it needs it. I have never "lost" a weight.
