Yes. If, by awesome, you mean putting immense strain on the transmission when cornering so that it groans until one of the rear wheels breaks traction. The diff-lock mode is only intended for testing, not driving. You do get cool japanese writing lit up in red on the dash though.

The VTD transmission is awesome in normal operation. If the diff needs locking then the computer will lock it. I can't see any good reason to mess with that function unless you want to make the handling worse.

Joe wants to make his oversteer so he can experience the fun of spinning off the road backwards like an Porsche 911 or Audi TT. Each to their own.
