Of course, it is a nervous time when we turn over the keys to any vehicle to our fledglings
but they must try their wings sometime. We must trust them not to be idiots (although it does scare me when I look back on my own youth growing up in western Virginia when I had sudden attacks of idiocy) I teach and coach at the high school where my son attends and so I am able to keep a close look on both his behavior and his reputation
We only live 2 miles from the school right now (although I am looking to leave; I am now the recently fired football coach) and so the driving to and fro will not be much. I will probably drive it when it is in the driveway when I need to go out
