It's good to know of another SVXer in the southeastern ranks.
Can't offer much advice about go-fast mods, and you're probably already aware of the prevailing wisdom regarding a transmission filter and cooler: If you don't have these, install them now.
If I were you, I'd leave 'er be, save your money for the inevitable maintenance bills, and enjoy the ride.
