You'd probably get much better performance from a custom modded Ebay intake than that one, and for way cheaper.
On another note, that 'muffler' may be needed to help keep horsepower in check from not allowing the sound resonance from the engine to interfere with the incoming air flow. Dyno results or track results would help.
