Speaking of power drain, I may have a solution to our alarm problem. Based on design, whenever the car is armed, there is a 30 amp relay that is energized that interrupts the starter circuit.
I was looking over the schematics and It may be really easy to change the relay so it only engages the starter lockout when someone attempts to start the car. Without that relay being energized continuously, it should make our cars drain a lot slower when parked.
