Fixing lifters on 2.0 Mazda 626
Well my moms 1997 Mazda 626 crapped out yesterday. She ran it dry and put in used oil. Well I tried starting it and the lifters tick very bad but go away when you rev it. It blows a lot of blue smoke out of the exhaust (has worn rings). She also said that the temp gauge rose up and she put the heat on full blast to help it a little. Is this worth fixing the lifters/other attached componants or should it go to car hell. Also if it seems fixable how would I go about removing the lifters and getting torque specs for them. thanks
