It's a 2003 Audi A6 (I suppose I should have marked the message as off-topic). I just rechecked the VIN that the seller is showing and I did post it correctly (I copied and pasted originally, so I didn't really expect it to be wrong.) Wonder what this means. The seller told me in a message a few minutes ago that he has a clean CarFax report, but he hasn't offered it. Thanks for checking.
