I owned an '88 McLaren (Mustang based) Dayle. On the few rare nice days here in MI, I truly miss my convertibles
Joe, this car is based on the Fox platform Mustang and came with a 5.0 (4.9L) V-8 with a five speed. It was heavy but nicely torquey
The McLaren was for all intents a dressed-up Mustang with special steel panels, no rear seat, special convertible top, re-located/sized windshield and interior trim. No performance enhancing bits were added to the engine or suspension sadly.
