We have a sadly similar situation here in the U.K.

There are tragic occurences of cars being modified beyond all reasonable taste, through an awful publication called "Max Power"

The generic term we use is "Kevv'ed up"... One of the worst offenders in the modded car scene is the Citroën Saxo, which if you are 19 and have no cash, is a reasonable car. However people do this - oh dear me.

The worst crime in my opinion (other than Lexus style light clusters), is when somebody sticks (and I mean uses glue ) a fake Impreza intercooler vent onto their bonnet. I mean come on... thats just daft.

What I've never understood is that, by the time they've finished nailing bits of plastic to their cars to make them go faster, they've spent the same as buying something reasonably quick in the first place
