I'm not into paying $60 for a part that costs $2, you know? But the fact is, I have no local options and no connections outside for a part like this. Anybody either have one laying around or can get one and ship it to me fast? I'd love to have it by the weekend, or Monday the 16th.

Thanks!!!
The specified resistance in fact provides for a tolerance of between 9 and 15 ohms, 12 ohms being desirable but not an exact requirement.

You can make up the required resistor using two or several resistors of lesser wattage connected in parallel or series. If your electronics shop is worth a candle, they will be able to advise you.
