I have undone the clamp around the seal bearing, but cannot get it to separate. Do I have to destroy the gasket to get it apart or is there an easier way?
Mine came apart great, a few taps with a rubber mallet and it separated after many years of Wisconsin winters.

Do you have all the rubber mounts disconnected? I have noticed that they put a lot of pressure to keep it together.
