yes is optional. you change it depending the condition, or by uprgrade.
avia lines are more rigid, so the line dont "inflate" like rubber one.
the result is to have a more and precise pedal on the foot.
that is better too for hard braking, and heat protection.

i dont realy know about material, but if you use your car gentle, and never push it, stay in stock parts ( plain disc and stock pad, or better, carbon pads )
but if sometimes you push your car, buy some sloted or drilleds discs whit carbon or ceramic pads.

for me, it's ceramic pads. i'm realy satisfed by theses ^^
there is less than one liter of brake fluid.

apparently, EU.DM have vented rear disc. the caliper bracket is different too. ( more large )
it's seems only EU.DM have theses, probably because the crappy safety test to let a car being sold on the territory ....
