You could ask svxfiles or YT about this. I understand there is a newer tougher plate available now.

Uh...where is that flex plate? Could it be checked while doing the band adjustment?
I noticed today that I had a distinct vibration at exactly 60mph, that went away at greater or lesser speed. I do have a fair bit of left front bearing noise, I was wondering if a worn out bearing would have that vibration at a particular speed? Have just done the rear bearings...glad THAT'S over...
