I have to pass on these words of caution, seeing as how I can't actually be there to help this weekend.
Be very, very wary of carrying loads of beer in the SVX to the meet. In the Owners' Manual it is very specific about carrying around extra weight in the car. This has a bad effect on performance and mileage.
How can I say this people?
Beer is heavy!
It's easy to notice how just how heavy it is. As you drink more of it you'll notice gravity gets a stronger and stronger grip on you. Leading to complete collapse in extreme cases.
Be really, really careful.
On the other hand, Asti or better still wine-in-a-box, now that has a totally different power-to-weight ratio. Ron has this sussed for a long time, even down to keeping it cooled aerodynamically on the spoiler.
Learn from the older more experienced experts.
