Thats a good write up, I didn't think 08 axles would work, body changes there, but as sad as I am to hear of the trouble you had the better it is for the confirmation.
There really isn't much difference in the 07 6 speed I have and the 08 you have other then lack of speed sensor, and with your mapdccd solution you can actually get more precise speed signals as mine are off by the small margin of physical gearing, and or tires.
