Well, it's an $88 part, but there's a bit of labor on top of that. Honestly, it's not difficult to get to, but it is going to cost you a few hours' worth. Besides that, I would absolutely recommend replacing the transfer clutch itself. The labor is the same, so it'd be a shame to have the new solenoid installed, then find out that the clutch is so badly worn that it doesn't engage correctly.

I have heard of people paying $800-$900 total for the repair, but I think that's a little high.
