well the tranny has a warranty but the labor doesnt

local shop is putting it in for 300 [aamco]

if they have to pull it back out cause the tc doesnt work then that's 300x2

i'd rather not pay $600

a known good tc is $50 on ebay plus shipping...

is the svx tc bullet proof - i honestly know nothing about the tc in a subaru

my tranny went out - when cold it would engage but wouldn't shift from 2nd

and once warm it lost all grip completely in every detent except park

no drive no reverse nothing....

so i didn't know if its safe to assume the tc is ok cause there wasnt any metal shavings when they pulled it

or safer to pay $70 to get a known working one shipped to the tranny shop and have them use that one...

or of course go the full route and get either mine rebuilt or one from an auto parts store - about $200 either way
