I was checking the tire pressure the other day, and I noticed the shadows on the ground, of the rippling heat waves just pouring out from under the front of the car. The engine wasn't even that hot. I had just driven a couple of blocks to the gas station. The fenders and hood were nearly too hot to touch. Ambient Temps were in the low 70s.

Seems like this car really could use some heat-extraction, and a bit more airflow management under the hood.

The transmission tunnel is probably one of the few places for underhood heated air to leave the engine bay, as well as the gearbox generating heat itself.
