If you really want an 'example' of what is " at steak" here.... I had a situation that spoke VOLUMES, even though the 'principals' could not speak!!!!
I have been Blessed, and Cursed with 2 dogs.....One is a male, Pomeranion-chiuaua, the other is a peeek-a-ranion, female.
The battle never ends!!! SHE tries to eat everything in sight, and HE tries to 'savor' every bite.
She hit a plate of spaghetti like a shark, when the daughter was done, ( and he was not offered first bite), and Molly ate every bite!!!
So, He, Walked to Mollys plate, and dropped a load of 'Louie-pee' on her plate, and turned his back to anyone involved...
I gleaned from this, even though Louie couldn't speak, that he was not happy that he was not offered a piece of the 'action', and EXPRESSED himself, even though he was a "dumb animal""""""
