The pads and rotors are maybe a year old (rotors are slotted and vented). Other than the sound, the car rides fine. Any ideas what this might be? Thanks.

Jack up the back and check for play in your bearing or hub assy. Then double check your rear pad thickness, sometimes the calipers can stick and wear the pad down to metal on one side.
