I checked the rear brake dust shields and they look OK (not that I'd know what I'm looking for). It just started maybe a couple of months ago and doesnt sound like its getting any worse. The pads and rotors are maybe a year old (rotors are slotted and vented). Other than the sound, the car rides fine. Any ideas what this might be? Thanks.

Jack up the back and check for play in your bearing or hub assy. Then double check your rear pad thickness, sometimes the calipers can stick and wear the pad down to metal on one side.
