I checked it out once. Its non-toxic because its based on propylene glycol (non-toxic) instead of ethylene glycol (toxic). If you want to use the Evans stuff, its best to install a higher flow rate water pump (no such beast exists for the SVX) and better radiator because the Evans stuff has lower heat capacity than standard water-based engine coolants.

If you like the idea of a non-toxic antifreeze, Peak makes a propylene glycol antifreeze that can be used in place of standard ethylene glycol antifreeze. Its does contain silicides though which Subaru says not to use.
